Privacy Policy

This policy explains what 3D Craze collects when you use 3dcraze.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

Last updated: 10 August 2026.

The short version

We collect what we need to take your order, ship it, and answer your questions. We do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this site, we do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

What we collect when you place an order

To process an order we collect your name, shipping address, billing address, email address, an optional phone number, and the contents of your order. We use this to charge you correctly, ship the parcel, send order and shipping notifications, calculate tax, and handle returns or warranty questions later.

Our store software also records technical details attached to an order, such as the IP address the order was placed from. This is standard fraud-prevention and troubleshooting information.

Payments

Payments are processed by PayPal, including card payments made without a PayPal account. Your card details are entered into PayPal’s payment fields and go directly to PayPal. We never receive or store your full card number, and we have no ability to retrieve it.

PayPal handles that data as an independent company under its own privacy policy, and it may share limited information back with us — such as whether a payment succeeded, the billing address on file, and a transaction reference — so that we can match the payment to your order and issue refunds.

Shipping

We ship to the contiguous 48 United States. To get a parcel to you we share your name, shipping address, and parcel details with the carrier and with the service we use to buy postage. The carrier needs this information to deliver the parcel and to give you tracking.

The contact form

When you send us a message through our contact page, we collect your name, email address, the topic you selected, and your message. We store that submission on this site so we can read it, reply to you, and keep a record of the conversation if it relates to an order.

The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person rather than a bot. Turnstile receives technical signals from your browser, including your IP address, and is operated by Cloudflare under its own privacy policy. We use it because the alternative is an inbox full of automated spam.

Accounts and checkout

You can check out as a guest. If a customer account is created for you, it stores the same order and address details described above so that repeat orders are easier.

Cookies

This site sets cookies that are needed for the store to work. They remember what is in your cart as you move between pages and keep your session consistent through checkout. Without them the cart cannot function.

We do not set advertising cookies, and we do not use tracking pixels from social networks or ad networks.

How we measure the site

We use Matomo, an analytics program that runs on our own server rather than on a third party’s. It records which pages get viewed, which site referred you, roughly where in the world you are, what kind of device and browser you used, and what you searched for on the site. It also records when an order is placed, so we can tell which pages actually help people find the right part.

We have deliberately set it up to collect as little as it can while still being useful. It sets no cookies. Your IP address is anonymized before it is stored — the last portion is discarded, so it points at a general area rather than a household. Raw visit records are deleted automatically after 90 days, leaving only aggregate counts. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, we do not record the visit at all.

None of this is sent to Google or to any advertising company. It stays on our server, and we do not sell or share it.

What we deliberately do not do

  • We do not run Google Analytics. No third-party analytics or advertising company receives data about your visit.
  • We do not load advertising or social media tracking pixels.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
  • We do not add you to a marketing list because you bought something. Any marketing email would require you to opt in first.
  • Comments are turned off across the site, so we collect no comment data.

Security and service providers

The site runs on hosted infrastructure, and encrypted backups of the site database are stored so that we can recover from a failure. We also run login-protection software on the administrative area, which records failed login attempts and the IP addresses they came from. These records exist to keep the store from being taken over, not to track shoppers.

The companies that host the site, process payments, carry parcels, and provide the bot check described above process data on our behalf or as independent companies in their own right. We share only what each of them needs to do its job.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to investigate fraud or protect our rights.

How long we keep things

Order records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, tax, and warranty purposes. Contact form submissions are kept while they are useful for support history and are removed once they are not. Backups age out on their own schedule, so a deleted record can persist in a backup for a period after deletion.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the contact page and tell us what you would like.

There is one limit worth stating plainly: we cannot delete the records of a completed order while we are still legally required to keep them for tax and accounting. Everything else we can remove.

Children

This store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
